Workato

Workato is an enterprise automation and integration platform that connects apps, services, and data workflows through recipes. By connecting SFTP To Go with Workato, you can react to file activity through Workato’s SFTP connector triggers and actions, or through file events exposed by SFTP To Go via webhook notifications or APIs.

Integration Step Guide

Connect Workato to SFTP To Go:

Create or log into your Workato account.
Create a new Workato project and name it.
Create a new connection and select SFTP.
In SFTP To Go, open the Credentials tab and create new credentials for Workato to use.Make sure to use the desired home directory and permissions. Copy the hostname, port, username, and authentication details.
Enter the SFTP To Go connection details in Workato and verify the connection.

Trigger Workato from SFTP To Go Webhooks:

Create a new Workato recipe for the file activity workflow.
Build the recipe manually or use Workato’s AI agent to help create it.
Copy the Workato webhook URL from the recipe.
In SFTP To Go, go to Webhooks and create a webhook using the Workato URL.
Select the file events you want to send to Workato, such as create, delete, or download.
In Workato, click Test Recipe so it waits for a test payload.
In SFTP To Go, open the File Browser, upload or delete a test file, and trigger the webhook.
Return to Workato’s Jobs page to inspect the file action, timestamp, and event payload.

Use Workato’s SFTP Connector for Scheduled File Checks:

Create a Workato recipe using the SFTP connection to SFTP To Go.
Configure the recipe to check for file activity at the required interval, from every 5 minutes up to every 30 days.
Use the SFTP connector to detect file changes, creations, or deletions.
Add downstream actions to log the event, send a notification, create a task, or update another connected system.
